It is 1999…
It is 1999, and the world is all set for the Millennium Bug... But will it turn out to be an apocalypse or a damp squib? The answer may well be in the hands of one man. In the end, it could all be ‘According to Ronald...’
‘How best to describe Ronald Knewer? A deluded fantasist, a liar and storyteller, a purveyor of red herrings, a fibber, deceiver and wily prevaricator. A teller of porkies, a fabulist, an exaggerator, a charlatan and a libertine...’ *
* Well, he is all of these, except that last one, (Ronald made that one up). But if it helps, he is also a hypochondriac, and, if he carries on, he is probably very close to being sectioned.
The problem is – where do we start to discover the truth amongst all his chaos? That is, if there is any truth to be found? Or is he just a hopeless, disruptive case who just happens to be vital to the way of the world?
Whatever, he’d better get his skates on – the Consultant just told him that he probably has only a few months left to live... and he should ‘dream his dreams’. Whatever that entails...
